This release fixes problems found after v1.8.1 with downloads, data export and settings, makes startup and quitting safer for the application database.
DOWNLOADS
* Records that were damaged in an earlier download are now replaced when they are downloaded again, so the same missing data is no longer offered on every download.
* The amount of new data shown as available to download is now correct when the app already has the instrument's latest data.
DATA EXPORT
* Exporting split by day now works for instruments that aren't currently connected. (This is available via the Manage Application menu at the top of the screen.)
* Split-by-day exports upload every day's file to AethLabs Cloud. Previously only the last day was uploaded.
* Split-by-day exports no longer include another session's records when two sessions share the same times (for example after a clock reset or a time zone change).
* Exports of sessions with large gaps in the data now complete correctly.
* Exported files no longer have blank BC values partway through. Only the first row of each file is left blank, as intended.
* Flow calibration pressure and pump drive values are now read correctly.
* If an export fails, for example because the disk is full or the folder can't be written to, the app says so: the progress bar turns red and shows "Data export failed." instead of reporting success, and the incomplete files are not uploaded.
SETTINGS
* Clicking a setting while the instrument is sampling now shows the "Setting changes disallowed" message instead of providing no feedback.
* Closing a window no longer sends leftover "cancel" commands to the instrument from earlier settings changes.
* Unplugging and reconnecting an instrument several times no longer makes a settings change save or cancel more than once.
STARTUP AND QUITTING
* Quitting while the app is starting up or updating its database now waits until it is safe, instead of closing partway through.
* If a database update is interrupted (for example by a crash or power loss), it now completes the next time the app starts instead of failing on every start.
* The confirmation shown when quitting during a download no longer prematurely closes the app.
FIRMWARE UPDATES
* Progress messages from the firmware updater are read more reliably.
SECURITY
* Names, email addresses, WiFi network names and messages from the update server are always displayed as plain text.
* The WiFi password is no longer shown in the activity log when it changes on the instrument.
* Web links open in your browser instead of inside the app.

This release adds support for the MA450 and MA600, makes connecting to and downloading from your instrument much more reliable, and clarifies several settings.
NEW INSTRUMENT SUPPORT
- Adds support for the MA450 and MA600.
MORE RELIABLE CONNECTIONS AND DOWNLOADS
- First-time USB connections are more dependable, and reconnecting an instrument is detected correctly.
- Downloads no longer stall or hang partway through, including on long downloads and when the instrument sends incomplete data.
- Data is saved as it downloads. If a download is interrupted or cancelled, everything received so far is kept, and the app offers any missing data next time.
- Damaged records are detected and skipped rather than saved.
- After an interrupted download, the connection is cleaned up automatically, so the next download starts without unplugging.
- Unplugging the instrument during a download is handled cleanly.
CLEARER FEEDBACK
- If the instrument stops responding, a "Waiting for the instrument..." message appears after a few seconds. The download stops after 15 seconds of silence instead of about 100.
- If any records weren't received, the download window says how many.
- The device panel shows free memory with a point count (for example "100% free (3,420 pts)"), matching the "Data on device" figure in Manage Data.
- Device settings on screen stay in sync with the instrument.
CLEARER SETTINGS
- AutoSample options are renamed and include help text explaining how each one behaves on battery-powered and always-on instruments.
- Wavelength options list the actual wavelengths instead of "All 5".
WIFI SETUP
- Installing WiFi certificates and running the connectivity test no longer hang, and failures now show a clear reason.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
- Closing or quitting during a download now asks whether to keep downloading or to cancel and quit safely.
- The app now reliably tells you when a newer version is available.
- App Info shows the full version number.
